Upper Makefield Fire Company Gets Recognized in
National Fire Magazine for New Firehouse Design

In the November issue of "Fire Chief" magazine there is a story about Fire House design.
In this story numerous fire houses thru-out the United States that were built in 2005 & 2006
were reviewed as to design function and overall usability.  The fire houses were broken down
into the following categories: Volunteer, Paid, Combination (Paid & Volunteer) and Renovations.
Of 48 firehouses reviewed in the Volunteer section, 1 was given a gold rating, 1 was given a
silver rating and 1 was given a bronze rating.  A couple more were given the rating of
"Notable Recognition".  Upper Makefield was given this rating.  See the article below.
